The College has received Ambition London project funding aimed at supporting entry to and sustained employment & career progression in the Health & Social Care sector.  The Working in tandem with employers to develop a units of training that enable employees to develop new skills and areas of expertise using blended learning approaches.  The project offers personalised career progression pathways for employees that identify the qualifications and career development options available to them to help them progress.

As the Ambition London Job Coach, you will be central to the project’s success. Your role will be to identify and prepare new applicants for entry and first level jobs within the Health & Social Care sector, providing them with a career development plan; also to work with existing employees to identify suitable development pathways including higher level apprenticeships and qualifications at Level 3 or and above.

Essential duties include:

  • Working with employers to source suitable vacancies to support new entrants into the sector.
  • Work with employers to identify progression opportunities for existing employees utilising apprenticeship and Adult Learning Loans funding.
  • Support the development of personalised career development plans for employees, including facilitating work placement opportunities for new entrants to build familiarity with the job roles and career opportunities available in the sector.  
  • Work in collaboration with the Health & Social Care curriculum team, Business Engagement and Employability teams to ensure the effective implementation of the Ambition London project.  

You will need to be organised and have a hands-on approach, and be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, that places our learners at the heart of everything we do.
